Due to the current pandemic, the summer semester 2020 class “Elementary Basics of Color, Material, Structure” by Prof. Ursula Zillig and Joachim Baldauf of the Integrated Design department of the University of the Arts Bremen did not take place in the rooms of the University. The class „Das matschige Auge der Mumie“ was taught from home using the Teams app, emails and phone calls. The teachers put up the respective tasks online,  the results were then discussed in groups of students. The students took photos and designed in their homes and uploaded their work to Instagram @da_ma_de_m. What makes this approach unusual and new is that this way the class can be viewed by the public. The objective oft the class was to design sneakers with textile surfaces created by the students.
