Maik Scheling and Luca Diebold represent the electronic live duo ‘Welcome To MALU.’ With a bass, a drum-machine, and synthesizers, they produce music which is reminiscent of the late 70s. I collaborate with them on translating the spirit of their music into a visual concept. For the single ‘Shloom’ from their upcoming EP we worked together on a music video. I also designed a cover for their single. Currently we are working on merchandise in the form of t-shirts, socks, earrings and posters.

Various influences shape our personality. We grow
with them but not everything we experience is
automatically good. Some things we forget over time
other things we suppress, like our precious childhood
that moves away from us with every second. The young
protagonist in SHLOOM resists these influences,
which represents the process of growing up. She doesn't
want to forget where she came from, because
only then she knows where she wants to go.
